US Armor Vs. Brit Armor FOW AAR-Lite

A Quick AAR for Flames of War. Jake and I got a game in this weekend.  US Armor vesus British Armor in Late War!

Again this isn't a full AAR, just an overview of the key points.

My List

Platoon 3: 4 x M5

Platoon 4: 4 x Hellcats

Platoon 5: 3 x Priests

Platoon 6: 3 x 81mm Armored Mortars

Jake's 7th Armored

HQ 2 x Cromwells

3 x Cromwell Platoons (3 Cromwells, 1 FF each)

4 Sextons

3 Stuarts

The British are coming....Everything stacked on their right

Overview... Spearheading Americans are gunshy

US Deployment.... luckily objectives are close enough together that
 I can centrally cover both.

First move... Brit Stuarts light up the 2iC and M-20!

Vengeance was swift as Hellcats and 76s destroy the Staurts

Overall action on turn 2! Shermans hiding from Cromwells!

I get my reserves in the right place, Jake Doesn't.
American Stuarts push on an open objective.

Hellcats get bold and pay the price! They pass
Their Moral and I pull the platoon to avoid giving Jake
a Victory Point.

Shermans and Stuarts shoot off the only Cromwells that could contest.
Return fire isn't enough to wipe out the American Stuarts.

   

End Notes: Jake's reserves didn't do him any good. He thought he could beat me on the objective and left one of his objectives wide open... my Speedy Stuarts made him pay... 6-1 to the Americans and Jake's 7th Armored takes a rare loss.
