Rivet Wars
Rivet Wars invaded our house last week and the whole family, even the little 2 year old, have been enamored with the miniatures that come with the game.
Rivet Wars represents something new in miniature gaming, at least for me, as it the first Kickstarter venture I have backed and the first I've received. While a few months overdue the wait was worth it when a box chock full of Rivet goodness arrived.
Rivet Wars, for the uninitiated, takes place in an adorably violent Rivet Wars world where the Allies and Blight fight an WW1 steampunk flavored war. The unique hook of the game are your little Rivet Warriors. this guys are shaped like Rivets and have an almost toy quality about them.
Out of the box the miniatures are a nice hard plastic in either Green (For the Allies) or Gray (for the Blight). But in our home we often can't leave a miniature unpainted so I had a go at a few of the basic troops to nail down the paint scheme I wanted to go with. I ended up using the "Official" scheme, for which there are several great online tutorials. I even took a stab at painting some non-metallic metal on the little blighter.
